I've had an idea .. Yeah, dangerous, I know. Usually when I have an ephihany of any kind disaster normally follows. I can't tell you what this wonderous idea is as I don't want to jinx anything. So I am shushing till I know it's going to happen. I am one of those annoying people that start something then lose interest 5 seconds later .. "OOOH lets do this .. O--oh *yawn* yay". Its part and parcel of being me I guess and I just roll with that.
I come from a highly creative family. One side was talented art wise and was famed for it, having all his cartoons on walls of bars in the area I grew up in, becoming a local celebrity in his own right (Fathers side). The other was in music and one family member conducted a band in the Royal Albert Hall in London and was featured in a book (Mothers side). So I have a creative streak genetically infused in me that screams to be let out, but my A.D.D stifles that soon after and I never fulfill any sort of potential. I'm working on it though .. Always working on it.
This idea just needs the right amount of TLC, nurturing and a dash of life whispered in to it to make it a reality. Can I handle it? In short - I may get dragged under a bus tomorrow not accomplishing ANYTHING if I don't try. Anything is possible. Possibilities are endless, if you want them bad enough.
*Apologies in advance for the not so insightful post about my night!*
I finally got to see Wicked tonight. First of all me and my sister went in to London, had a Mexican meal and a few drinks, then went to the Apollo to watch Wicked. I can't describe how awesome the show is unless you have seen it for you have seen it yourself .. Anyway, it was my first theatre trip and I enjoyed it :). Heres a few snaps ;P

I was pretty drunk here ... 'tard 2008 goes to ME!
3 days in to the new job, I think I can give a fairer posting about it all
.
I am loving it, but commuting in and out of Central London is tiring (I work in Victoria). Also my hours aren't really helping either. I do the 12.30PM till 9PM shift. ACK! I get home at about 10PM. Sucks to be me, though I am sure I'll get used to it. The people there are lovely, friendly and helpful. I am still getting to know everyone there still so I can't say much on that score. I am still amazed at my achievements thus far. I have gone from being a cleaner to a pharmaceutical dispenser .. Literally clawed my way to having a career and now working in London gainin that sort of experience is something that I'd never dreamed would happen.
Life .. isn't it funny?
I am duplicating my myspace posts at the moment till I can figure out what i can do with this blog ...
Because I was so lazy and didn't get up early this morning, I royally fudged my plans of .. A) purchasing a new shirt for my new job induction (which is tomorrow) and B) Going in to London to see how the trains ran. *read on*
Ok, got in to town and bought my bits 'n' bobs, this was about 4PM. Met Jamie at 5PM, got on train to London Bridge at 5:34PM. On the ride there the train was so packed that most people had to stand. I however was quick as lightning and managed to get a seat, unfortunately I had some ladies arse practically glued to the side of my head most the way. I am starting to get a bit worried of my train change to Charing Cross from London Bridge as I have never been to that station before .. Holy shiatzu .. It was so busy --> insert grumpy me here, and I didn't have a clue where the fecker I was headed. Anyway, me being amazing (I am .. !) I eventually found the right train to Charing Cross and got on it. Arrive at Charing Cross, Central London at around 6:35PM. learn that several trains back home have been DELAYED AND CANCELLED, I then learn it will be an hour before I can get home --> insert very sad Nic here. I tehn look around some shops in Charing Cross and try waste as much time as possible, great! Then I go back to the departures board and learn my train is delayed a further 34 mins. By this time I am so fucking fed up of the busy station I ring just about everyone I know to pass the time. Ok, I get on my train home .. AND .. There is a problem with the line I am on so the train is delayed AGAIN. We are all advised to go to London Bridge and change ... It took me 4 HOURS in all, from start to finish .. So I am not looking forward to tomorrow. Wish me oodles of luck as I more than need it.
Other than that I am darn tooting ;)
